This partnership will bring video chatting option to this social network. The Facebook news came with unveiling of a new feature for the web site, such as group chat feature.
This announcement is directly connected at Google+, as it opened the feature known as “Hangouts” and this feature is similar to the group conference call online. The Facebook news confirms that this social network has responded to work with the Skype for developing group call feature for its web site.
Michael Gartenberg, an analyst, stated while discussing over the Facebook news, that the Skype deal is not some thing that both the networks had cobbled in a week together; instead the announcement made by Google had accelerated it a bit. According to Dan Olds, who is an analyst, the famous social network, Face book leads over Google+ with seven thousand and forty nine million users and therefore Face Book is signaling Google+ that it can take away some of the Google+ momentum and will not wait and let Google+ come ahead.
Facebook and Google are competitors of each other over the last year. The Facebook news also tells that Facebook and Microsoft have become strong partners and they are carrying this partnership since 2007. Therefore the main enemies of Google are Facebook and Microsoft.
According to some analysts, Facebook is not at all chasing Google instead it is catching up.
